Mary Beth Bouw, 83, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. She was born to the late Donza Murial Hitt and J.P. Hitt on July 15, 1943 in Tuscaloosa, AL.

After graduating from high school in Tuscaloosa in 1961, Ms. Bouw went on to the University of Alabama, where she studied interior design. She then began working for US Home and moved to Ft. Myers, FL. In the early 1970s, she and some partners began Kelly Cove Realty, which she operated for 40 years prior to her retirement. Following her husband’s death in 2017, she moved to Valdosta, where she became a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.

Ms. Bouw loved playing golf, and played for many years with her husband and friends in Ft. Myers. Growing up in Tuscaloosa, she was also an avid fan of UAlabama Crimson Tide football.

She is survived by her sister, Martha Livingston of Valdosta; stepdaughter, Susan Bouw of Columbia, SC; niece, Laurie Nave of Muscle Shoals, AL; nephew, Jon Livingston of East Point, GA; and special friends Ted & Kathleen Fitzgeorge of Ft Myers, FL. She was preceded by her parents, and her husband, Al Bouw.
