Mary Alice Darlington Jackson, 69, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Langdale Hospice House following a brief illness. She was born in Valdosta on November 4, 1956, to the late Joseph Albert Darlington and to Margaret Smith Darlington. Ms. Jackson was a retired pediatric nurse with South Georgia Medical Center having served for over 40 years. She was of the Catholic faith.

Ms. Jackson is survived by her daughter, Margaret Jackson and two sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew and Nichole Jackson and Marcus and Kayla Jackson all of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Cheyenne Perry, Jason Jackson, Kasen Turner, Mikala Turner, Primrose McQueen, Pamela Jackson and Christopher Jackson; her mother, Margaret Darlington and three sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara Clark, Jo Ann Wright, and Teresa and Tom Randall along with several nieces and nephews.

Services for Mary Jackson will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Father Adam Kasela officiating.
