Mary Alice Griffin, 91, of Quitman, died on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Presbyterian Home in Quitman. She was born in Barney, Georgia on August 27, 1933, to the late William Derry Taylor and Haskel Bruce Taylor. Mrs. Griffin retired from Valdosta Drug Company where she was an inventory clerk. She was known for her beautiful quilts that she made and gave away to people and was also an excellent cook. Mrs. Griffin was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Karen Griffin of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Bruce and Donna Griffin of Thibodaux, Louisiana, Randy and Jody Griffin of Dixie, Georgia; her grandchildren and their spouses, Ryan and Lauren Griffin of Greenville, North Carolina, Justin and Mary Griffin of Garner, North Carolina, Jake and Corine Griffin of Winder, Georgia, Kelley Uber-Sterner of Gainesville, Georgia, and Lexi and Stephen Fournier of Thibodaux, Louisiana; her great-grandchildren, Carson, Sawyer, Addi, Christian, Fletcher, Vada, Mason, Turner, Mattie, Taylor and Carter. She was preceded by her husband, Lewis Steve Hall.
A graveside service for Mary Alice Griffin will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Campground Cemetery in Morven. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
