Mary Agnes Davis Godwin

Mary Agnes Davis Godwin, 67 of Valdosta, died on Saturday, February 11, 2006 after a short illness. Born on April 18, 1938 in Pearson, GA, she was the daughter of P. W. and Blanche Davis of Valdosta. She was a homemaker and of the Seventh Day Adventist faith.

Other survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Sandye and Julio Colon of Valdosta; a son, Michael Tracy Godwin of Hartwell; grandchildren, Travis Isbell, Taylor Lee Rowan, Lacy Rowan and Carey Rowan all of Valdosta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Ollie Roach of Milledgeville, Diane and Roger Davis of Rome, Peggy and Jim Ross of Valdosta, Karen and Jerry Corbett of Lake Park and a brother Sonny Dismuke of Valdosta.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service time in the church. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
