Martha Harris Barnes, 93, of Morven, died on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta. Born in Morven, on June 29, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Thomas Harris and Eula Forehand Harris. She was a homemaker and member of Morven Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Barnes, she is survived by two nieces, Becky (Joe) Griffin and Nancy Elaine (Stacy) Smith.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. at Campground Cemetery in Morven. Reverend Charlie Scarbrough will officiate. Carson McLane Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be made online at www.mclanecares.com.
