Martha Helen Smith Ayers, 91, of Valdosta, died on Monday, March 25, 2024, at her residence.  She was born on October 13, 1932, in Anniston, Alabama to the late Sam Perry Smith and Grace Lucille Webb Smith.  Mrs. Ayers was retired from Huffy Bicycle Company where she worked as an assembly line worker and has been a member of Faith Baptist Church of Valdosta.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Ayers of Valdosta; a daughter and two sons, Teresa Ard, Eddie Jones, and Tommy Jones; two brothers, Larry Smith and Richard Smith; three sisters, Juanita Lee, Lucille Smith, and Sue McNeal.  She was preceded by a son, Randy Jones, a daughter, Lorraine, and four sisters and five brothers.

Services for Martha Ayers will be held at 2pm on Friday, March 29, 2024, in the chapel of the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Peter Moseley officiating.   Entombment will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mausoleum chapel.  Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.  Carson McLane.
