Marjorie June Nielsen

Marjorie June Nielsen, 93, of Valdosta and formerly of Roseville, CA, passed away on March 29, 2017, at Fellowship Home following a short illness. Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Ethel Ford Cone. A homemaker, Mrs. Nielsen was an avid reader, loved traveling and enjoyed the performing arts.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ove Brandt Nielsen, and a brother, Roy (Mary Anna) Cone, she is survived by a daughter, Lynn (Steve) Simonson of Windsor, CA; sons, Kurt (Shawn) Nielsen of San Jose, CA and Eric Nielsen of Valdosta; grandson, Tyler Nielsen of San Jose, CA.
Memorial services for Mrs. Nielsen will be held at Christ Episcopal Church on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Nielsen Family Dance Scholarship, VSU Foundation, Inc., 1500 N.
