Marie Fowler

Marie Fowler, 91, of Valdosta, died on Monday, July 27, 2020 after a period of declining health. Born in Whitehouse, TX to the late James Miles Pruett & Amy Eugenia Weldon Pruett, and formerly of Tyler, TX, she had lived in this area since 2003. Marie was born during the great depression and grew up on the family farm outside of Whitehouse, TX. She worked hard all of her life caring for her family and working to help support them. She was a talented and artistic person, also an excellent seamstress and cook. She loved the simple things of life, such as spending time with her family and friends. Marie placed her faith in Jesus Christ many years ago and she will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter in law, Jerry & Donna Fowler of Brownsboro, TX, and Bill Fowler of Spokane, WA; seven grandchildren, Donnie (& Brandy) Fowler, Jimmy (& Kim) Fowler, Stephen Fowler, all of Brownsboro, TX, Pricilla (& Tad) Evans of Valdosta, Benjamin (& Sarah) Fowler of Marysville, WA Miriam Liska of Deer Park, WA and Jennifer Chambers of Austin, TX; and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Eugene Fowler, a daughter Celeste Fowler, a daughter in law, Joann Fowler, a grandson Nathanael Fowler, 4 sisters and 6 brothers.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Lake Park Cemetery. Her son, Pastor Bill Fowler will officiate. Condolences may be conveyed to the family on the obituary page of www.mclanecares.com Carson McLane Funeral Home
