Marie D. Shaw, 91, of Valdosta, died at her home on Sunday, January 15, 2006. The daughter of the late Edward and Winifred Moody Dunning, she was born in Hornersville, Missouri, on June 22, 1914. She had made her home in Valdosta since 1995. Mrs. Shaw was a homemaker and a member of Bemiss Road Baptist Church. Her husband was the late Clinton Spivey Shaw.
Survivors are one daughter, Patricia Ann Bradley of Valdosta, two sons and daughters in law, Gary L. and Carolyn Shaw of Valdosta, William H. and Linda Shaw of Brunswick; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 10:30 a. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Edwards officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2006 at 11 a. m. in the Auburndale City Cemetery in Auburndale, Florida. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 from 6 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of South Georgia. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at mclanefuneralservices.com.
