Mamie Ann Jones

Mamie Ann Jones, 59, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, August 27, 2006, after a lengthy illness. Born on January 23, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Nell Jones. Miss Jones worked for several years at Texture Tex which became Queen Carpet. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

She is survived by her aunt, Lucille Braly of Dallas, Georgia; a cousin and her family, Marcia and David Steinberg, Jr. of Valdosta, Stacy and Chris Kendrick, Zoe and Ivy of Hahira, Lesa and David Steinberg, III of Jacksonville, Florida, Brooke Steinberg of Valdosta, several other cousins and relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2006, at 10 a.m. at the graveside at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
