Luella Brady Smith, 85, of Valdosta, died at South Georgia Medical Center on Tuesday, October 16, 2007. She was born in Berrien County, GA on August 2, 1922 to the late Charlie G. and Flora Kirkland Brady. Mrs. Smith was retired from ITT Thompson Industries as a machine operator and she was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Her survivors include her husband, Fred Earl Smith of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Freddie and Kay Smith of Hahira; daughter and son-in-law, Terrie and Richard Sullivan of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Christina Swain of Tifton, Robyn Smith, Allison Smith and Dylan Smith all of Hahira, Bryce Kuenzi of Lawrenceville. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Ruth Brady of Valdosta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Edna Player, Pat and Roland Wallis, Reba Simpson, Linzie and Howard Hansford all of Valdosta; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her brother, Clayton Brady and her sister, Sidney Wilson.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2007 at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Dr. Ernie Jones officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at Carson McLane Funeral Home
