Lindsey F. Welles, III, 75, lived in Lake Park, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at South Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born on September 20, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Lindsey F. Welles, Jr. and Mary Yvonne Brooks Welles. He was a retired plumber's assistant with Dixie Plumbing in Naples, Florida and had worked part time at Winn Dixie. Lindsey loved riding his golf cart around his neighborhood and visiting with neighbors and had a heart for giving to the St. Jude's Children's Fund and the building fund at First Baptist Church Lake Park. He was an Eagle Scout and he loved bulldogs. He was a born-again Christian that loved Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He also loved First Baptist Church Lake Park and his faith family.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Welles of Lake Park, Georgia, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Jolene Welles of St. John, Michigan, Tom and Sue Welles of Warren, Michigan, he also had numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Welles.
A memorial service for Lindsey F. Welles, III, will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, at First Baptist Church Lake Park. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00pm till 2:00pm with services following immediately after. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the First Baptist Church Lake Park Building Fund.
