Linda Ruth Jarvis Roberts, 83, of Thomasville, died on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at her home. Born in Brooks County on September 25, 1942, Linda was the daughter of the late Audley Jarvis and Mary Ruth Jones Jarvis.

Widow of the late Eugene Talmadge Roberts, Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a caring, loving person. She enjoyed playing tennis and cooking for her family and friends. She was an avid gardener and a loyal fan of Valdosta State University Women’s Basketball. In high school Linda excelled at basketball and was inducted into the Georgia Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. She worked as an Office Manager for the Department of Family and Children’s Services and was a long-time member of the Quitman Methodist Church.

Survivors are her daughter and son in law, Lyndra (Eric) Eason of Thomasville; son and daughter in law, Gene (Noriko) Roberts of Japan; grandchildren, Miles Roberts, Austin Ricks, Ansley and Ashlyn Eason; a brother, Larry Jarvis of Quitman, sisters in law, Judy Jarvis of Valdosta and Bernice Roberts of Valdosta.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Roberts will be held on Sunday July 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Quitman Methodist Church. Reverend Anna Miller will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church at 1:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday. Carson McLane Funeral Home has been entrusted to care for the Roberts family.
