Linda Courson Harker, 74, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at South Georgia Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Douglas, Georgia on May 1, 1950, to the late Joe Talmadge Courson and Oma Marie Bullard Courson. Mrs. Harker was a retired nurse at many locations and in recent years had served and retired from the Osprey Village in Fernandina, Florida. She was of the Christian faith.
Mrs. Harker is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Teresa Cox of Houston, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Derick Evans of Valdosta; her grandchildren and their spouses, Ashley Polk, Nina and Cody Hammock, Barbara Cox, Ryan and Jasmine Evans, and Luke Evans; her great-grandchildren, Aurora Evans and Asher Evans; two sisters, June Adams and Revonda Golden and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her son, Ruil Cox, Jr.
A memorial graveside service will be held for Linda Courson Harker at 11am on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the Sweetwater Cemetery in Pearson, Georgia with Rev. Ryan Evans and Rev. Luke Evans officiating. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
