Lina Griner, 74, of Valdosta, died on Monday, February 9, 2026, at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on December 30, 1951, in Naples, Italy to the late Giovanni Lambiase and Vincenza Gallo Lambiase. Lina had worked in retail sales from Wilbro’s , to Nijem’s Jewelry to owning and operating her own store. She was a devoted mother and wife who loved tending to her flowers, gardening and was extremely proud of her Italian heritage. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church

Lina is survived by her husband, Larry Griner; her children, Daniela Lewis, John Griner and Stephens Griner as well as two grandchildren, Holden Lewis and Reid Lewis all of Valdosta; a sister and a brother, Grazia Lambiase and Aldo Lambiase both of Naples, Italy. She was preceded by her brothers, Fillipo Lambiase and Gaetona Lambiase.

Services for Lina Griner will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Adam Kasela officiating. The burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
