Lilyan J. Miller
LILYAN JAMES MILLER, 86, of Valdosta and formerly of Washington, DC, died in Valdosta on January 18, 2009. She was predeceased by her husband R. Eric Miller and her son John Meily. She owned Old England Needlepoint Shop in Washington and her work appears in the National Cathedral and St. John's Episcopal Church at Lafayette Square. She leaves three daughters Cornelia Scruggs (William) of Arlington, VA, Barbara Elvin of Leesburg, VA and Margaret DuRocher (Peter) of West Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held in Valdosta on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
