Kristin Stalvey Fletcher

Kristin Stalvey Fletcher, 43, of Valdosta, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 5, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Valdosta, graduating from Lowndes High School in 1998, where she participated in the sorority Sigma Delta Theta. After graduation she attended Wiregrass Technical College for Cosmetology and worked briefly in a salon. She soon married and began her family. Kris was a devoted mother, deeply caring for her children, keeping up with their needs and activities. She was also a very crafty person, painting, crocheting, and sewing clothes and costumes for her kids. Kris was also involved with making t-shirts for the kids and their groups for activities and fundraisers. She most loved spending time with her kids and family, both at home and at the beach.

Kristin is survived by her daughter, Karter Daye Fletcher, son Joe L. “Lake” Fletcher, III, daughter Paisley Pearl Fletcher; her parents, LaDonna Webb Stalvey and Bobby Stalvey; her brother Rob Stalvey, all of Valdosta; the father of her children, Joe Fletcher, Jr., of Donaldsonville, GA; and nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Stalvey, Rilyn Stalvey, Hannah Wynn, and Hailey McKinney; and uncle & aunt, Tom & Karen Stalvey; and several cousins, Missy & Jay Eason, Tommy Stalvey, Cooper Eason and Courtney Grace Stalvey; and special friend Amber Brown and her children, and numerous other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Cat Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Jim Sandlin officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4-6 pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the VHL Alliance, www.vhl.org.
