Kim Barber Ellis

Kim Barber Ellis, 49, of Valdosta, died at her home on Monday, November 13, 2006 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Monterey, California, on February 21, 1957. Mrs. Ellis was a Registered Nurse at South Georgia Medical Center. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Rick Ellis, daughter, Meagan Ellis, and son, Matthew Ellis all of Valdosta; her parents, Martin and Bernice McLain Barber of Cross City, Florida, sister and brother in law, Carmen and Carl Rogers of Chiefland, Florida, Tammie Barber of Cross City, Florida, brother and sister in law, Marty and Donna Barber of Cross City, Florida, parents in law, Glynn and Carolyn Ellis of Valdosta and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church. Dr. Ernie Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery in Brooks County. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Susan G.
