Kevin Arthur Edwards, 30, of Valdosta, GA., was born on September 30, 1993, in Fairfax, VA. Kevin passed away unexpectedly in Valdosta, on February 27, 2024. Kevin was beloved by his entire family, especially his 8-year-old son, Leo Charles Roth-Edwards.
After graduating from Lowndes High School in 2012, Kevin worked his way up to management in the restaurant industry. Kevin was a people person, and excelled at making guests feel welcomed and appreciated.
Kevin was nostalgic in nature, loved his family, and took immense pride and joy in his role as Leo’s “daddy.” Kevin loved spending time with Leo, whether it was going to dinner, batting whiffle balls, playing video games, jumping in leaf piles, spending the day at Wild Adventures, watching their favorite movies, or just chilling. Kevin reveled in sharing his knowledge and joy of his favorite childhood toys and shows with Leo. They spent countless hours watching, playing with, and discussing the finer points of Legos, Pokémon, TMNT, and the like. Kevin cherished everything they did and every moment they spent together; his legacy is the indelible mark of pure love he gave to Leo.
Kevin is preceded in death by his aunt, Jessica Dawn Pyles (née Parker, 1978 -2014), his Papa, Teddy Brown Pyles (1944 - 2023), and by his Grammy, Deborah Elaine Powell Pyles (1951 - 1998), who affectionately called Kevin her “brown berry.”
He is survived by his son, Leo, by his mom and dad, Lydia and Charles “Chuck” Edwards, by his kid brother, Bryan Edwards and Angel, and by his bonus siblings Chuck and Wendy Edwards, David Edwards, and Kelly and Will Collie, and Nick and Tyler Sienkiewicz. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Adrianna, Justin, Athena, and Jaelyn, by his aunts and uncles, Jesse Pyles, Joseph Pyles and Becky Pyles, Tessa Pyles, Judith Pyles and Chantel Zandi, Rhapsody Pyles Drehs and Davey Drehs, Micah Pyles, Christina Pyles, Audrey Lindberg, as well as his thirteen cousins, Kristen, Eszti, Dakota, Kelton, Cora, Dominic, Ethan, Stella, Finnlyn, Gwenyth, Rory, Tegan, and James, and his entire Sienkiewicz family.
Kevin was a tender and gentle soul. He was a perfectly imperfect human. His loss is immeasurable.
A memorial service for Kevin will be held at 11am on Monday, March 4, 2024 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Casual dress is encouraged.
