Kerry Ronald Ricks

Kerry Ronald Ricks, 73, of Valdosta, died at Fellowship Home in Brooks County on Friday, October 14, 2022. Born on March 27, 1949, Ronald was the son of the late Joseph Brackston Ricks and Leila Belle Hughes Ricks. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed by the United States Postal Service for 26 years, working as a Postman in Adel. Ronald loved to play golf. He was passionate about riding bicycles and motorcycles, spending time with family, working out and lifting weights. He also enjoyed Karaoke.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra Kay Ricks of Valdosta; son, Brack Ricks (Heather Hall) of Tifton; daughter and son in law, Roxanne (Jammie) Metts and step son, Joey (Becky) Hall both of Hahira; grandchildren, Hadden Ricks and Greyson Ricks of Tifton, Taylor Whitley, Reece Hall, Rayden Hall of Hahira; brother, Wayne (Elaine) Ricks of Hahira, sister in law, Janice Ricks of Fitzgerald. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Wendell Ricks and Tommy Ricks.

Services for Ronald will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Mr. Larry Price will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.
