Kenneth Daryl “C.B.” Beard, 70, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Langdale Hospice House. He was born on May 24, 1955, in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late Elmer Wiliam “Bill” Beard and Ruth Seagars Beard. He was a retired master sergeant with the United States Air Force where he served as a crew chief on both the F-4 and F-16 fighter jets. He also served for 10 years as a Georgia State Corrections officer. Mr. Beard was of the Lutheran faith.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Beard of Valdosta, and his son and daughter-in-law, Ernie and Keri Beard of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Ernie Beard II, Justin Beard, Juan Vielma, Eric Vielma, Kyla Campbell, and Allie Campbell; his sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Tucker Harrison and his brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Susan Youngblood; several nieces and nephews.

A committal service for Kenneth Daryl “C.B.” Beard, will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia with military honors. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
