Ken L. Lokey, 89, of Valdosta, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Albany, Georgia, on February 23, 1937, to the late Felton Marion Lokey and Mary Ellen Hill Lokey.

He was raised in Remerton around the Strickland Cotton Mills. He attended Valdosta High School in the early 1950s and soon joined the Navy. His first job was at the Strickland Cotton Mills in Remerton. After serving in the Navy, he returned home and attended Valdosta State College, where he earned his accounting degree. He later sold insurance and taught accounting at Val Tech (Wiregrass). He moved his family to Titusville, Florida, where he served as the city comptroller. He was also the general manager of Valdosta Monuments and was self-employed for 26 years. Additionally, he owned and operated a car business, Valdosta Auto Brokers, with his sons for 40 years. He was well known for his Christian faith, as well as his witnessing and ministry while selling cars.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Earlene Lokey of Valdosta; sons, Keith Lokey of Valdosta, Craig Lokey of Valdosta, and Chris Lokey (Megan) of Griffin, Georgia; grandchildren, Annah Lokey of Valdosta, Beth (Hunter) Parrish of Valdosta, Julie Lokey of Valdosta, Sara Lokey of Griffin, and Shelby Lokey of Griffin; great-grandchild, Gracelyn Parrish; sister, Frances Jones of Titusville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

A funeral service for Ken will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Rev. Brian Layton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Online condolences may be shared on the obituary page at www.mclanecares.com.
