Kay Hunter, 64, of Lake Park, GA, passed away on Thursday, August 6 2026. Ms. Hunter was born to the late Patricia Marie Skipper and Allie Clinton Skipper in Valdosta on January 16, 1962.

Ms. Hunter was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her children. She loved the ocean, loved riding horses, and was excellent at cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Hunter of Lake Park; two sons, James Daniel (Elia Perez) Hunter of Clarkesville, TN and Jordan Harris Hunter of Lake Park; and parents-in-law, Karen H. Hunter and James Earl Hunter. She was preceded by her parents; her sister, Linda Ann Skipper; and brother, Michael Clinton Skipper.

The funeral service for Ms. Hunter will be held on Sunday, August 9 at the Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m., with Reverend Jim Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 – 2p.m. Burial will follow after the service at Unity United Methodist Church cemetery.
