Kathy Susan Patterson, age 72, passed away on April 17, 2024, in Valdosta. She was born on November 20, 1951, in Adel, Georgia, to Earl and Kathleen Brown Patterson, who preceded her in death. Kathy was a beloved mother known for her musical talents, playing the piano, and singing gospel music. She was a member of the "The Gay Children" singing group and worked as a seamstress at Levi’s for 11 years before pursuing a career as a dog groomer at English Grooming. She cherished her furry companions, especially "Sister." Additionally, she dedicated her time as a volunteer assistant baseball coach, and passionately supporting her favorite team, the Georgia Bulldogs “Go Dawgs”.

Survived by her daughters, Jennifer Butler (James) of Statenville, GA, and Stephanie Nelson (Sharmon) of Valdosta, Kathy is also remembered by her grandchildren, Jeremy Hernandez (Stacy) of Live Oak, FL, Jesslyn Hernandez of Statenville, GA, Yuriel Nelson of Valdosta, GA, and Skylynn Sexton of Statenville, GA. Her great-grandchildren include Ozzy Poore and Cooper, Gideon, and Charlotte (Charlie) Hernandez, all residing in Live Oak, FL. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Alan Patterson and Mike Patterson.

A graveside service will be held at Friendship Cemetery on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 10am. Expressions of sympathy and online condolences to the family can be shared at www.mclanecares.com.
