Julia Mae Harmon, 93, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. She was born on May 3, 1933 in Madison, FL to the late America Luvenia Barrs and Eddie Lee Barrs, Sr. Ms. Harmon worked for Clayton County tax assessors in data entry, and she attended Grace Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Scott (Michelle) Harmon of Waycross, GA; her grandchildren, Nicole Nolley, Charity Harmon, Keith Harmon, Randi Harmon, Tyler Harmon; numerous great grandchildren; and siblings, Eunice Dugas of Nacogdoches, TX, Frances Blanton of Valdosta, GA, and Ed Barrs, Jr. of Madison, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Burney M. Harmon; son, Randy Harmon; daughter-in-law, Carmen Harmon; grandchild, Courtney Harmon; sister and brother-in-law, Catherine & Claude Kent; and brothers, Franklin Barrs, Edgar Barrs, Charles Daniel Barrs, and Ray Barrs.

A funeral service for Ms. Harmon will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
