Joyce Weldon

Joyce Weldon, 69, of Hahira, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Bismark, North Dakota on January 3, 1937 to the late Floyd and Phyllis Cynthia Moser Thompson Mrs. Weldon was a homemaker and a member of Hahira Church of God.

She is survived by her children, David Blanton, Jake Blanton, Mike Blanton, Mary Lou Creasy and Janie Bruns, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, one sister, Grace Peterson and one brother, Ralph Thompson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 1, 2006 at eleven a. m. at the Hahira Church of God with Reverend Leonard Harnage officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. She will lie in state in the church for one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p. m. Thursday at the funeral home.
