Joyce Imogene Lassiter

Joyce Imogene Lassiter, 85, of Clayton, NC passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in Raleigh, NC. She was born on May 10, 1935 in Sparks, GA to the late Lacy C. Spires and Rosa Leviner Spires. Mrs. Lassiter was a retired homemaker.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Randall L. and Linda Lassiter of Fuquay Varina, NC, her daughter and son in law, Brenda J. and Steve Sawyer of Shalimar, FL, grandson, Brandon J. Sawyer (Jessica) of Newberry, FL and great granddaughter, Freya Nicole Sawyer. Mrs. Lassiter is predeceased by her brothers, W. Lessie (Buck) Spires of Sparks, GA and James D. Spires of Cordova, SC, her sisters, Louise (Spires) Barnes of Smoaks, SC and Eloise (Spires) Morris of Cordova, SC.
A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021 at eleven a.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery, Sparks, GA. Burial will follow in the family plot next to her late husband, George Wesley Lassiter. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com.
