Joshua Mark Baker

Joshua Mark Baker, 35, of Valdosta, passed away on Wednesday, May 29,2024. He was born September 25,1988 to Mark and Letitia Baker in Garden City, Kansas. Everyone who knew him, knew he was a Kansas boy at heart. He loved growing up on the farm as well as his time spent in the Kansas Little Britches Rodeo. Being a farmer and a cowboy brought great joy to Josh. While in school, he participated in the 4H program. He loved trucks, tractors and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Josh had a heart of gold and a contagious smile and laugh that lit up the room.

Mr. Baker is survived by his parents, Mark and Letitia Baker of Valdosta; sister, Taylor Baker of Valdosta; grandmother, Elaine Buchanan of Valdosta; grandmother, Shirley Akagi of Caldwell, ID; aunt, Michelle Baker and family of Aurora, CO; uncle, Mike Baker and family of Phoenix, AZ; uncle, Clint Buchanan and family of Madison, GA; uncle, Eddie Dees and family of Valdosta; cousin, Tyler Baker and family of Ulysses, KS; cousin, Timothy Baker and family of Amarillo, TX; cousin, Tiffany Webb and family of Amarillo, TX; cousin, Warren Dees and family of Montana; cousin, Lindsay Logging and family of Lake Park; cousin, Leighann Whatley and family of Valdosta; cousin, Dana Blanton and family of Valdosta; cousin, Felicia Spells and family of Fitzgerald; cousin, Brandy Gartman and family of Valdosta; cousin, Tammy Bryant and family of Oregon; cousin, Larry McCain and family of Birmingham, AL; step grandmother, Celain Baker of Elk City, OK. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Gary Baker; grandfather, Clint D. Buchanan Sr. (Buc) and step grandfather, Kaku Akagi (Pops).

A celebration of life will be held for Josh on Friday June 7,2024 from 6-9 pm central time at the VFW building in Hugoton, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to their Go Fund Me page to assist with expenses at this time.
