John David Scott, 61, of Valdosta, died on Monday, August 4, 2025, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in Thomasville, Georgia on December 13, 1963, to the late Richard Lewis Scott, Sr. and Johnnie Mae Law Scott. Mr. Scott had worked in the steel and manufacturing industry before his health prevented his working further. He was an avid fisherman and was of the Baptist faith.
John is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Amber Scott of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Ivy Scott and Mason Profetto; his brother, Ricky Scott of Valdosta; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Terry and Joe Turner of Carrolton, Georgia and Jessica and Kevin Knowles of Temple, Georgia.
