John Paul Gault, 81, of Valdosta, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Fellowship Home in Brooks County, after a lengthy illness. Born in Milan Indiana, on July 24, 1931, he was the son of the late Earl and Alice Gault. He graduated from Purdue University and was a Registered Pharmacist. Mr. Gault served in the United States Army for three years. After working for Miles Laboratory in Indiana, he purchased and operated his own drug store until he retired. Mr. Gault attended Park Avenue United Methodist Church prior to his illness.
Survivors are his wife, Maureen of Valdosta; his children, Timothy and Cathy Gault of Long Beach, Indiana, Daniel and Mary Gault of Granger, Indiana, Patrick and Jody Gault of Littleton, Colorado, John and Debbie Seymour of Hodgenville, Kentucky, David and Terry Canal of Indianapolis, Indiana; fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild; a sister, Alice Bingham of Cincinnati, Ohio, the mother of his children, Patricia Gault of South Bend, Indiana; sister in law, Marie Gault and nephew, Denny Gault of Milan, Indiana; Maureen's children, Donna Henderson of Valdosta, Dennis Dale of Hollywood, California. He was preceded in death by a sister, Luella Howard and brothers, Floyd and Harold Gault.
Services for Mr. Gault will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Craig Rikard and Reverend David Tart will officiate. A private entombment will take place at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to ACTO c/o Park Avenue United Methodist Church 100 E Park Ave, Valdosta GA 31602.
