John Charles Bedene, Sr.

John Charles Bedene, Sr., 56, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at South Georgia Medical Center. Born on January 22, 1964, in Warner Robins, he was the son of Lucille Shirley Harrison Bedene and the late Paul Edward Bedene. John was a diesel mechanic and a dedicated employee for Reames and Son Construction for over 24 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and working on his vehicles. A good friend and neighbor, John was always at the ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. He would literally give you the shirt off his back.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Lori Jean Bedene, sons, Francis Wasikowski (Ashley), John Charles Bedene, Jr. all of Valdosta, his mother, Lucille Bedene of Valdosta; grandchildren, Francis Wasikowski, V., Daniel Wasikowski, Anthony Smith, Angel Smith all of Valdosta; brothers, Paul Bedene (Crystal), Donald Bedene (Carri), James Bedene all of Valdosta, sisters, Patricia Hendrickson (Barry) of St. Louis, Missouri, Barbara Fields (Randal) of Temple; aunt, Ethel Harrison of Valdosta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Father LaBurt will officiate. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
