Joanne Grist Fisher, 86, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on June 21, 1939, in Elmira, New York, to the late Irene Taylor Grist and John Daniel Grist. Mrs. Fisher graduated from Arnot Ogden School of Nursing and was a registered nurse for 56 years, most recently working at Greenleaf in Valdosta. She was an active member of Faith Baptist Church where she loved to play the organ and sing.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Karen) Fisher of Lewiston, New York, and Richard Fisher of Valdosta; three granddaughters Jill Curcione, Amber Fisher, and Irene Fisher; and one great-grandson Fletcher Wise. She was preceded by her beloved husband, Robert Fisher; her parents; and her brother, Arthur Grist.
