Jerry Eudene Sellars

Jerry Eudene Sellars, beloved husband, father and grandfather, 75, of Valdosta went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Hahira, Georgia on December 13, 1942 to the late Joseph Mitchell and Annie Mae Hasty Sellars. Mr. Sellars was an active member of Morningside Baptist Church where he enjoyed serving as a greeter, usher and Vacation Bible School worker. He graduated from Hahira High School in 1960 and served four years in the United States Air Force. Mr. Sellars was a retired auto parts salesman and enjoyed fishing, gardening and classic cars.
Survivors include his wife, Boneta Carter Sellars; two daughters and sons in law, Marcia and Robbie Dixon, Sonya and Ben Yeager; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Yeager, Mitchell Yeager, Olivia Dixon all of Valdosta; his brother, Mickey Sellars of Alma, GA; sister and brother in law, Peggy and Larry Clower of Jefferson, GA; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Inear Fulford of Palatka, FL, Gladys Folsom of Lake Park, GA and a brother, L. T. Sellars of Valdosta.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Morningside Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Robertson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 5-7pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta.
