Jerome Findley, 81, passed from this life at his home in Valdosta, on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Born in Valdosta on November 11, 1944, he was the son of the late Victor Owens Findley and Ouida Clark Findley. Mr. Findley was a retired Lieutenant from the Valdosta Fire Department, Station No. 1. He had worked with the Valdosta Fire Department for 30 years. His favorite hobby was treasure hunting with his medal detector at the beach, and he enjoyed trips to the mountains. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was a faithful member of Redland Baptist Church.

Survivors are his beloved wife of 41 years. Brenda Faye Findley of Valdosta; his children, Charles Jerome Findley of Statenville, Brian (Kacey) Findley of Florida, Lisa Findley of Valdosta, Georgia, Ashli (Heath) Moon of Valdosta; grandchildren, Brad Findley, Jennifer Findley Carter, Frazier Findley, Emma Findley, Christina Strickland, Jon Michael and Nicholas Demaranville, Brenden Moon; brother, Victor Owens Findley of Royal Palms Beach, Florida. Mr. Findley was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Juanita Thompson, Gloria Rose Findley, and a grandson, Brandon Findley.

Funeral services for Mr. Findley will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Redland Baptist Church. Reverend Jay Watkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Redland Cemetery.
