Jennifer Schoonmaker Sauls, 43, of Valdosta, died on Wednesday September 18, 2024, at Langdale Hospice House after a brave battle with cancer. Born on August 18, 1981in Tucson, AZ, she lived most of her life in Valdosta. Growing up she was active in the youth group at Crossroads Baptist Church and graduated from Lowndes High School in 2000. Her first job was working at Lowes Distribution Center. She then went to work at Norfolk Southern and trained to be a conductor and later an engineer. She was a dedicated and hard-working employee there for 16 years before retiring due to health issues. Jennifer was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially the babies! She also enjoyed riding on the ATV and fishing and hunting with her husband. 

Survivors include her husband, Buster Sauls of Valdosta; four daughters, Aubrey Schoonmaker of Valdosta, Patricia Warren of Lake City, FL, Katy Sauls (& Matt) Bennett of Valdosta, Hannah Sauls (& Ethan) Skains of Destin; a son Bobby Warren of Lake City, FL; her parents, Robert & Midge Schoonmaker of Valdosta; her sister and brother-in-law, Jamie & Jonathan Daniels of Blackshear and four grandchildren, Arie Taylor, Ada Sauls, and Kinsley Bennett, all of Valdosta and Austyn Skains of Destin. Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Molly Sauls of Valdosta, three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Tina & Timmy Law, Teresa & Ricky Youmans, and Tammy & Michael Carter, all of Valdosta; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her stepson, Austin Sauls, her father-in-law, Randall Sauls, grandparents Mima Jean Hensley, George & Doris Schoonmaker, and a niece Rylin Daniels. 

There will be a memorial service for Jennifer from 6:00 until 6:30 pm on Monday, September 23, 2024, at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park. A visitation will follow from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, at www.donate.cancer.org.
