Jeanne Coppage Latour, 88, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Addison Assisted Living. She was born in Miami on March 5, 1938, to the late Earl Coppage and Althea Bostick Coppage.
Jeanne grew up in Miami and attended Jackson High School. She began her career working for GMAC before starting her family. During that time, she also assisted her sister in operating the Christmas Shoppe, a role she greatly enjoyed. Jeanne and her sister shared a close and special bond throughout their lives. Years later, she returned to GMAC, where she continued working until her retirement eight years ago. In her free time, Jeanne especially enjoyed shopping, particularly trips to Bloomingdale’s with her sister Helen.
Ms. Latour is survived by her daughter, Tracy (& Ernie) Simmons of Port Orange, Florida; her son, David (& Amy) Snyder of Marianna, Florida; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen (& Barry) Kendall of Melbourne, Florida, and Sharon Deemer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Kaylyn (& Robbie) Mayberry of Chickamauga, Georgia, Skip (& Raquel) Simmons of Port Orange, Charlotte Yanes of Orlando, Caroline Snyder of Ft. Myers, and Will Snyder of Tallahassee; her great-grandchildren, Abigail Goldberg of Chickamauga, Colt Simmons of Port Orange, and Kayden Mayberry of Chickamauga; her nieces and nephews, B.G. Kendall of Homestead and Laura (& Mic) Williams of Melbourne, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Coppage.
A funeral service for Ms. Latour will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira. Reverend Frank Gupton will officiate. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery in Morven, Georgia. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Online condolences may be shared at www.mclanecares.com.
