Jeanette Lowery

Jeanette Lowery, 88, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Nashville, Georgia on October 19, 1936, to the late William Pate Hand and Charlotte Dampier Hand. Mrs. Lowery was a retired medical office manager and had worked with Dr. Jerry Light locally and Macon Orthopedics in Macon, Georgia. She and her husband were instrumental in opening the first after hours medical center (Urgent Care) here in Valdosta and well as helping to establish, along with Dr. Light the first Dialysis Center in town. She owned and operated Lowery’s Catering Service and was well known for her creativity with arts and crafts and painting. Mrs. Lowery was a member of First Methodist Church of Valdosta.

She is survived by her two sons, Ron Lowery of Valdosta and Kenneth Lowery of Quitman; her grandchildren and their spouses, Richard and Joi Michelle Lowery, Casandra and Matthew Randolph, Kenneth Jr., and Kelly Lowery, Ashley Lowery, Jarid Johnson and Cameron Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Ryan Lowery, Brendan Lowery, Kaitlyn Lowery, Emerson Randolph, Karsten Randolph, Matthew Harnage, Case Lowery and Cooper Lowery; her sister-in-law, Mary Helen Wilson of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Roy Lowery and her daughter, Donna Lynn Lowery Johnson.

Services for Jeanette Lowery will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Pavilion at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Dr. Anthony McPhail officiating.
