Janice W. Rogers, 71, of Valdosta, died on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida following a lengthy illness. She was born in Valdosta on June 3, 1949 to the late L.C. (Whiz) Wisenbaker and Madge Quillian Wisenbaker. Mrs. Rogers was a retired bookkeeper from Terry Hunt Industries where she worked for many years. She was a life-long member of the Clyattville United Methodist Church and was very active in the United Methodist Women. She loved taking vacations in the north Georgia mountains and loved gospel music, especially listening to the love of her life sing. Above all, she loved spending time with her twin girls and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald R. Rogers of Valdosta; daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Vincent Brooks of Valdosta, Stephanie and Wesley Nichols of Hahira, Holly and Mitch Mink of Valdosta; sons and daughters-in-law, Robbie and Stephanie Rogers of Lake Park, and Ricky and Stacy Rogers of Huntsville, Alabama; her grandchildren, Meghan McGee, Ryan McGee, Kyle Brooks, Brandon Brooks, Katie Nichols, Cooper Mink, Abigail Rogers, Hannah Rogers, Lauren Rogers and Travis Rogers; her sister, Lama Exum of Tifton; nieces and their spouses, Elizabeth and Stacy Selph, Teresa and Buddy Ash, and Julie and Scott Bullington; several great- nieces and great-nephews.
Services for Janice W. Rogers will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Clyattville United Methodist Church with Rev. Aaron Kight officiating. The burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
