Jane Cook Miller, 86, of Valdosta passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014, at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Miller was the daughter of Archer William, Sr. and Naamah Cook of Richmond, VA. She attended Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, where she met Dr. John Marvin Miller, her husband of over fifty years. A homemaker, Mrs. Miller was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Valdosta.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her children: Naamah Miller Troutman, Jane Miller Martin and John Marvin Miller, Jr.; her grandchildren, Ronald, Jr. and Ashley Troutman, Miller and Dana Troutman, James and Whitney Troutman Owens, David and Jennifer Martin Stump and Callie Martin; great grandchildren, Preston Troutman, Kate Troutman, Anna Jane Owens and Jack Stump; her brother, Archer William, Jr. and Georgeann Cook of Spartanburg, SC. and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to her caretakers: Mildred McGee, Jessie Bridges, Irene Brown, Mary Baker and Brenda Vinson; and her beloved canine friend, Amos.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Dr. Bob Moon and Rev. John McGowan officiating.
