James “Jim” Blunt, of Lake Park, passed away Wednesday, March 11th, 2026, following a short illness. James was born on July 27th, 1956, to Nancy Blunt and the late Thurston Blunt in Valdosta, Georgia. He enjoyed feeding his community and bringing home baked goods from his time working at Crackin Good Bakery. He could often be found enjoying time in the garden and doing yardwork around his home.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Diane Blunt; daughter Carolyn Coody (Tyler) of Pinetta, Fl and son JT Blunt (Kaitlyn) of Washington County; and his grandchildren Mollie and Ellisyn Coody, and Ruby and Owen Blunt; along with his mother, Nancy Blunt of Valdosta, Georgia.

He is preceded by his father, and brothers, Mike and Charlie Blunt.

The family will receive friends at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, from 5-7pm. A private family service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be shared at www.mclanecares.com.
