James Earl Deans, 70, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at his home in Valdosta. Born in Nash County, North Carolina, on November 6, 1949, he was the son of the late James and Doris Ricks Deans. Mr. Deans was retired from the U.S. Army. He enjoyed watching television and spending time with his family.
Survivors are his beloved wife of 45 years, Earlene Deans; his beloved pet, Hope; a brother, Tony Deans, sisters, Brenda (Tim) Daniels, Michelle Deans, and Doris Leveston all of Wilson, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Janice Barnes and a brother, Alfred Deans.
The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Friday evening, October 23, 2020, from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral services for Mr. Deans will be held at Stevens Funeral Home, Wilson, North Carolina, with committal at Sandy Fork Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Nash County.
