Ida (Eloise) Jordan, 90, of Valdosta, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Fellowship Home. She was born in Perry, Florida on July 2, 1935 to the late Hiram McGuire and Flora Lee Farnell McGuire. She moved to Tampa in 1940. She met a young airman by the name of William Jordan at a parade there. They married and began their family in Tampa. They moved to Vandenberg, CA in 1964 and later to Charleston, SC in 1970, and Scott Airforce Base, until they moved to Moody Airforce Base in 1972 and he retired here. William and Eloise were very involved with Greenwood Baptist Church, and she led the ladies auxiliary. She enjoyed visiting Jekyll Island and often took trips there with the family. She had a green thumb and loved plants and taking care of her yard. She had a hair salon in the back of her house, and spent many an afternoon taking care of her clients and chatting with friends. She was an avid FSU Seminole fan and had beat breast cancer in the past.

Mrs. Jordan is survived by her son, Kim William Jordan, of Baker County, daughter Sharon K. Berglund, of Valdosta, grandchildren, David Jordan, of Phoenix, AZ, Amy Jordan, of Burbank, CA, Shawn Berglund, of Valdosta; and step-granddaughter, Mandey Ricker, and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Kenneth McGuire.

A funeral service for Mrs. Jordan will be held at 2pm on Friday, May 22, 2026 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will visit prior to the service from 1-2pm. Online condolences to the family may be shared on the obituary page at www.mclanecares.com
