Horace L. "Pete" Lavender, of Valdosta, died Novmeber 19, 2010. Born in Hahira August 30, 1937, Mr. Lavender was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Survivors are one son and daughter in law, Brent and Sharon Lavender of Atlanta; brothers and sister in law, Thomas Lavender of Jesup, Charles and Cindy Lavender of Valdosta; grandson, Leiland Lavender of Atlanta. Per Mr. Lavender's wishes, there will be no services and he will be cremated. Carson McLane Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
