Henry (Del) Glenn, 74, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at his residence. He was born on May 20, 1951, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Henry Delbert, Sr., and Emma Lucille Hines Glenn. Mr. Glenn served in Viet Nam and retired from the United States Air Force where he worked as an avionics specialist. He served as a past commander for DAV post 14 (Verify if post number is correct), and a member of the Bushy Creek Muzzle Loaders and thoroughly enjoyed black powder shooting. Mr. Glenn also served as both a boy scout and cub scout leader with troops 440 and 410 with the scouts and 454 with the cubs. He loved to fish and hunt and was a member of the Valdosta Church of the Nazarene.
Mr. Glenn is survived by his wife of 51 years, Juanita Glenn of Valdosta; his two daughters and his son, Anita Glenn, Elizabeth Glenn and Arthur Glenn all of Valdosta; his grandson, Henry Glenn also of Valdosta; cousins, Jerry Baker and Anita Baker both of Nashville, Tennessee; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Rushing of Miami, Florida, brother-in-law James Edwards of Denver, Colorado; two nephews and their spouses, Leroy and Jackie Rushing of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Danny and Becky Rushing of Tampa, Florida; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services for Henry (Del) Glenn will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Lonnie Grant officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
