Henry Alford "H. A." Miley, Jr.

H. A. Miley, 89, of Hahira, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Heritage Healthcare at Heritage House Nursing Home. He was born in Hahira on June 23, 1922 to the late Alford Miley and Doshia Rebecca Griffin Miley. Mr. Miley was a retired clerk from the Hahira Post Office after working there 34 ½ years. He was a member of Hahira First Baptist Church and was a former Hahira City Councilman.

He is survived by one sister, Isabelle Miley Amerson of Hahira and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Miley is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Henrietta Thompson, Beattie Amerson, Irene Lassiter and Eldis Parrish, four brothers, Jessie Miley, Wilton Miley, Bill Miley and Virgil Miley, Sr.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 2012 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Dr. Clyde Stokes officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
