Helen A. Baltrus

Helen A. Baltrus, 79, of Valdosta, died at South Georgia Medical Center on Sunday, October 8, 2006. Born in Newark, New Jersey on March 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Giebus Andrews. Mrs. Baltrus was a homemaker and a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church.

Survivors are her daughters, Marilyn Baltrus of Valdosta, Mary Griffin of Valdosta, her sons, Donald and Charleen Baltrus of West Palm Beach, Florida, Michael Baltrus of Nashville, Tennessee, Bill and Pamela Baltrus of Douglas, John and Beverly Baltrus of Valdosta, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Baltrus was preceded in death by a son, James Joseph “Jimmy” Baltrus, and her husband, Donald T. Baltrus, Sr.

A rosary will be held on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home with visitation following until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 12:10 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with The Reverend John O’Brien officiating.
