Hazel Pitzing Patrick

Hazel Pitzing Patrick, 90, of Valdosta died on Monday, August 25, 2008 at Crestwood Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Cullman, Alabama on February 17, 1918 to the late Albert George and Viola Chandler Pitzing. She was a homemaker and had worked many years for Walker's Garden Center in Valdosta. Mrs. Patrick was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kathi and Philip Poole; two grandsons, Patrick L. Poole and Philip E. Poole all of Valdosta; four sisters and brother-in-law, Velmer Patrick of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Kathryn Powell of Titusville, Florida, Mary Lee Price of Quitman, Barbara and Kenneth Wilkinson of Dixie; two brothers and sisters-in-law, J.R. and Martha Pitzing of Dothan, Alabama and Alfred and Sylvia Pitzing of Hahira. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.E. (Pat) Patrick.

A graveside service for Mrs. Patrick will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at the Sunset Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Mays officiating.
