Harriett Elizabeth Herndon, 82, of Valdosta, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital after a period of declining health. Born on June 5, 1926 in Manatee, FL, she was the daughter of the late Wyley F. and Eloise Herndon. She was always a happy and content person who never complained. Miss Herndon attended Lake Park Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Herndon of Valdosta; brothers, and sister-in-law, Wiley F. Herndon, Bronner and Ruth Herndon all of Valdosta and numerous nieces and nephews. Miss Herndon was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Isom Herndon.
