Glenda Ann Guthrie, 67, of Valdosta, died on Friday, January 23, 2026, at South Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health. She was born in Valdosta on May 15, 1958, to the late Paul Proveaue and Betty Jean Corbett. She was a homemaker and had attended Truth Harbor Church.

Mrs. Guthrie is survived by her son, Marvin Guthrie of Valdosta; her brother and sister-in-law, George and Patricia Proveaue of Panama City, Florida; nieces and nephews and their spouses, Jessie and Paul Schiering of Westerville, Ohio, Travis and Michele Proveaue of Panama City, Theodora and Alan Wood of Huntsville, Alabama, Trissa Proveaue of Madison, Florida; great-nieces, K’Lyn, Alannah, Cheyenne, Magdalena, Karalynn and Camille; great-nephews Tyler, Levi, Eli, Zane and Calvin; her cousin, Maxine Carter and a brother-in-law, Colbert “Guss” Guthrie of Fulton, Missouri; a life-long friend, Joyce Croft of Valdosta. She was preceded by her husband, Lance Edward Guthrie.
