Gladys Harrell O'Neal

Gladys Harrell O'Neal, 87, of Valdosta, died Monday, February 25, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center. Born on September 19, 1920 in Lowndes County, she was the daughter of the late Lum and Annie Harp Harrell. Mrs. O'Neal was a member of Forrest Park Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Charles O'Neal, Sr. of Valdosta; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles, Jr. and Lynda O'Neal of Valdosta and Jerry and Kitty O'Neal of Quitman; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Rick Chapman of Valdosta; son-in-law, Stuart Metcalfe of Williamson. Mrs. O'Neal is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Metcalfe.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Forrest Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
